Fire and Water

The lead piece from 2007 catalogue was inspired by a 200 year old poem mphisbaena. The Moorcroft double gourd vase ( shape 70) has been enlarged for the first time to accommodate these fantastic images by Kerry Goodwin.

Jurassic – style dragon fly with light reddish orange wings hover above the water dragon as it spits fire in vivid gushes of shaped golden orange flame at the devil fish armed with razor sharp teeth and green, armored  body scales  which fade to purple at the fish tail.
